Inspired from the motif found on a Claddagh ring, the design of a heart under a crown symbolises friendship, love and loyalty.  The story goes back over four hundred years when a Spanish goldsmith fell in love with a girl from the Claddagh village in Galway and has become a symbol of love across Ireland.  This square basket has Celtic woven designs on four sides with pink hand flowered roses in the corners and the Claddagh symbol in the centre painted with gold and mother of pearl.  A thoughtful gift for family or friends.
